Prompt is “stretch” and I am working on a painting of a California Horned Lark stretching her wings as she flies over the Mendocino coast. This will illustrate the Japanese esthetic of “shibui” or subtlety as I try to capture the subtle joy the bird must be feeling. I will work on this over the next few days.
