Did you get an amaryllis this holiday season? I created this original watercolor of an amaryllis yesterday and today. It is 15 inches tall, 22 inches wide on Arches watercolor paper, and right now is unframed. I was looking back at my art goals for 2023 and found that of the six goals I had, I achieved two of them: 1) create one full size painting a month and 2) focus on brushstrokes. For 2024 I will focus on the other four: 3) practice every day, 4) develop my own palette of colors, 5) explore abstract concepts, and 6) Add Japanese style Elements.
