What is your mission?
Watercolor painting inspiration and techniques for achieving expressive paintings.
Brushstrokes- finding confidence in how you move your brush
Shapes-seeing the shapes in the world around you
Values- from white to black in 10 values
Color- building your palette

In creating this hibiscus I used the tip and side of my brush to create the ruffled petals. Some shapes come forward and some move back with light values bringing the shape forward and dark values pushing them back. I used Indian yellow, permanent alizarin crimson, quinacrine pink, dioxazine, French ultramarine blue and burnt sienna.
